The world’s top tennis players have converged on Wimbledon’s grass courts for two weeks of matches through July 8. While options for dining near the courts abound, spectators seeking great eats need only walk or drive a short distance for authentic British bites.

Breakfast: CÔTE, a chain of casual French bistros, is a good spot to start the day. If the weather is nice, grab breakfast to go and have a morning picnic in Wimbledon Common, which is a three-minute walk from the shop. Wimbledon Common has 1,140-acres of woodland, making it a popular picnicking venue.

Lunch: The Butcher and Grill is an informal restaurant located within a traditional butcher shop. Products sold in the store are also used to prepare pies, terrines, and grilled specialties, and the burgers and steaks are some of the most popular eats. The Butcher and Grill is serving a special set lunch during Wimbledon that includes two courses for £13.50 ($21.10) and three courses for £16.50 ($25.79).

Snack: Strawberries and cream is the traditional tennis treat at Wimbledon. Kent strawberries are picked the day before and arrive daily at 5:30 a.m. for inspection and hulling.

Dinner: Headed by Bruce Poole, Chez Bruce is in Wandsworth Common, a short distance from the grass tennis courts of Wimbledon. Chez Bruce’s menu has a modern focus but is based on classic French and Mediterranean cuisine that includes charcuterie, cheeseboards, slow-cooked braises, offal, warm and cold salads, and classic desserts.

Drink: While Claude Bosi spends the majority of his time creating two-Michelin-star cooking at London’s Hibiscus Restaurant, Fox and Grapes is his gastro-pub. With Claude's brother Cedric Bosi in charge, Fox and Grapes sources ingredients for its classic British dishes from small farmers and producers. Bosi tells The Daily Meal that one of the most popular dishes is the Fox and Grapes burger as a main, the homemade scotch egg as a bar snack, and the razor clams as a starter.
